The Children of the King, Inc. is non-profit foundation. Incorporated in the state of Oklahoma as a 501(c)(3) entity in 2000.  Contributions are completely tax-deductable.  100% of your donation provides support for the children and the workers in Nicaragua.  Our staff and directors here in the United States are voluntary and receive no compensation.  Support through donations and prayers are critical to the ongoing care of these children.

While on a medical mission in 1997 to Nicaragua, Kent King and Joe Romero traveled to the “alley of the dead”, a crime and drug infested area in the poorest section of Managua, the capital.  Interviewing the ‘street people’ there and seeing the desperate need for a children's home, plans for Los Niños Del Rey were  conceived.  Through generous donations, the Lord blessed us with the finances to purchase 25 acres of land in the beautiful mountain country of Jinotepe.  Currently, 37 children in two houses, Erick and Eveling Garcia, administrators and a caring and dedicated staff call Los Niños Del Rey their home.  We are a non-profit foundation officially recognized in Nicaragua by the General Assembly in 2005 as Los Niños Del Rey.

Under the oversight of the elders of the Chisholm Trail Church of Christ in Duncan OK, our officers and directors work to provide for the spiritual and physical needs of our children.  Churches, organizations and individuals like you make this mission possible...and that mission is… to bring abused, neglected and homeless children into the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
