Have you ever sung the song, “Make Me a Servant” ? Well the Goads are living the song and serving the children of Jesus Christ. Becoming like Christ, they rearranged their work, their schedules and their lives and headed south to Jinotepe. Their first stint of 90 days (maximum allowed per Nicaraguan Visas) began on Jan 10th, 2007, the same day as the inauguration of Daniel Ortega, returning Sandinistan president. Fearless in their service to Christ, they become full-time ‘mother and father’ to the now 39 children at Los Niños Del Rey. Living in the second house with the girls, they taught English lessons, taxied kids to school and worked on their Spanish. Jesus answered our prayers and the needs of the children and made them servants of His on a heavenly scale! May God bless the Goads as they continue their work and dedication to the King and His children! Pray for their upcoming return to Nicaragua in August. Be careful what you ask the Lord to do in your life. He may just “make you a servant.”
